Engagement with the private sector

The Community of Practice ‘Engagement with the private sector’ was formed in 2015 to explore opportunities to encourage involvement of the private sector in Share-Net International. The recommendations from the report commissioned by Share-Net and this WG (‘Getting to Know each other: Private sector engagement in improving Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in developing countries’, finalized in 2016) and the report of the round table meeting held in November 2015 resulted in an agreed strategy and activities of this working group. The focus of this CoP is to jointly further develop engagement strategies to make them more practical, to get a clearer idea of what corporates might be looking for when developing relationships with NGOs and to expand the number of private sector organisations that might become involved in Share-Net International.

Members of the Community of Practice are: PSI Europe, Simavi, Female Health Company, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, dance4life.
