Share-Net International is happy to share the powerpoint of the lunch presentation (BYO) by Dr. Bethany Young Holt, Director of the Initiative for Multipurpose Prevention Technologies (IMPT) on the 20th of April 2016 at KIT in Amsterdam. 

This presention is about one of the fastest growing areas in women’s sexual and reproductive health – Multipurpose Prevention Technologies (MPTs)! MPTs are a new class of products currently under development that deliver varied combinations of HIV prevention, other STI prevention, and contraception and will improve the lives of women and families worldwide. This presentation gives an overview of:

* The global epidemiological need for combined protection
* The current MPT product development pipeline
* The technological, market access, and investment challenges associated with creating combined prevention

This presentation offers an exciting opportunity to learn about the IMPT’s efforts to bridge research silos, provide technical guidance, raise critical issues, and ensure that the preferences and needs of women are at the centre of product development.

IMPT tries to cultivate this group to represent multidisciplinary and international expertise, and they would be thrilled to have you and any interested colleagues join our global consortium of MPT stakeholders. NoE members have access to up-to-date news and resources, quarterly update webinars, and other critical MPT-related convenings.
