what we are looking for:
The researcher’s work is very diverse. The work is becoming an important part carried out within the Knowledge Development program, a quantitative line of research that focuses on this to generate good figures about sexual health (care) in the Netherlands. On the other hand, work is being done on
research activities that are ‘intervention-related’. The interventions of Rutgers are provided with
theoretical substantiation, impact studies, needs research and implementation studies.
For all activities, there must be good contact with the field of the sexual healthcare. Structure and maintenance of a network and insight into what is needed from practice important elements of the work. The communication of research results to various target groups is crucial.
Your main task is the design and execution of research projects. Here you go through the entire process
research project, from preparatory literature research to analyzes and written and oral reporting. In addition, vision development and network maintenance are important activities. In some cases you are project manager of smaller projects.
We are looking for someone who is able to independently carry out a research project, including analyzes and reporting, someone who communicates easily and in writing about the research results.
You can write a scientific article independently, but you can also create a fact sheet in which research data can be made accessible to care providers, or hold a presentation for policy makers, with which they gain insight into sexual health. Furthermore, we find it important that you:
• Academically trained: social, behavioral or health sciences are preferred;
• Have at least 4 years of relevant research work experience;
• You are quantitatively skilled with advanced knowledge of statistics and the willingness to also
apply qualitative method;
• Have experience in working with SPSS;
• Being a demonstrably good writer;
• Knowledge of and / or experience with sexual health;
• Have good contact properties;
• Being flexible: you can work simultaneously in several projects;
• Works carefully and neatly.
We offer a great function in an inspiring work environment with motivated and qualified
colleagues. It concerns a year’s appointment with prospects of extension. The appointment will take place according to the terms of employment of the CAO-GGZ. The salary depends on knowledge and experience at a 36-hour working week maximum of € 3,894, = gross per month (FWG scale 55).
