Apply now for scholarships from the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) to study a short course at KIT in Winter/Spring 2019!
The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) (former NFP programme) is a 5-year programme that aims to advance the capacity, knowledge and quality of both individuals and institutions of higher and vocational education. Talented health professionals from 52 eligible OKP countries can apply for a full scholarship.

Application deadlines Orange Knowledge Programme Scholarship

If you want to apply for a scholarship from the Orange Knowledge Programme, make sure you first apply for academic admission to KIT.

  • Deadline KIT Royal Tropical Institute for academic admission (if applying for OKP): as soon as possible but at the latest by 22 September 2018
  • Registration period OKP: 6 September until 22 October 2018

Attention: the list of eligible countries for OKP is different from the former list of NFP countries. If you are a health professional from one of the  52 eligible OKP countries we encourage you to apply for an OKP scholarship!

  • Human Resources for Health
    Course dates: 25 February – 8 March 2019
    This course provides knowledge and skills that health care managers, policy makers and planners need for human resource management. It discusses strategies at country and workplace level to address health workforce issues.
  • Health Policy and Financing
    Course dates: 20 May – 07 June 2019
    An in-depth look at important issues and current debates in health policy, health economics and health financing, taking into account the diverse profit and not for profit systems.

Using Geographic Information Systems in disease control programs
Course dates: 24 June  – 05 July 2019
The course gives an introduction to the use of GIS in disease control programmes and how it can be used for disease control, focusing on the epidemiological assessment of disease burden and the improvement of programmatic planning and management
