Report Afternoon Session NVTG Symposium 2015: “Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR): Strategies for Linking Research, Policy and Practice”

Organised by the Share-Net Working Group “Linking Research, Policy and Practice” and Uniting Streams

Aim of the Session: Linking research, policy and practice

This session was co-organized by the Share-Net working group “Linking Research, Policy and Practice”: a joint initiative of the University of Amsterdam, University of Maastricht, University of Nijmegen, International Institute of Social Studies, the Royal Tropical Institute, Oxfam Novib Academy, GNP+ and Share-Net Netherlands. Its aim is to increase the practical relevance of research outputs and to create and encourage knowledge sharing in order to improve evidence-informed practice.

Our objective of this current session was to share relevant insights and evidence and to stimulate discussion about the implications of these insights. Based on their findings, presenters were asked to share recommendations for practice and/or policy, after which both presenters and session participants were invited to reflect on strategies to bring these recommendations into practice.
