Rutgers Knowledge File: Gender Transformative Approaches

Knowledge File about Gender Transformative Approaches

To improve sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) outcomes for all and to prevent gender-based violence (GBV), SNNL member Rutgers propose to address power imbalances, and transform negative sexual and gender norms into positive ones. Addressing these norms at the individual, institutional and societal level changes inequalities and facilitates sustainable social change. They have produced the knowledge file ‘Gender transformative appraches’ which presents the actual state of affairs on this theme and describes some cases in which this approach has been fruitful. It includes the actual knowledge, the Rutgers vision statement and the important stakeholders and events.
