Save the date: upcoming webinar on meaningful youth participation

Let’s jointly unpack the concept of meaningful youth participation (MYP)

We’re very happy to announce that in partnership with our member organisation CHOICE for Youth & Sexuality (CHOICE), Share-Net Netherlands is planning an interactive webinar guided by the following questions:

  • What does meaningful youth participation actually mean?

Roos van Kreij, programme coordinator at CHOICE, will introduce this concept to the audience exploring what it means to work with youth toward better SRHR policy and practice in a meaningful way and she will improve participant’s understanding of different forms of youth participation.

  • What is the status of “youth empowerment” in Share-Net? And how can Share-Net’s commitment to meaningful youth participation be strengthened?

This presentation by Carys Stirling will explain the findings of her internship which sought to answer these questions to kickstart the process of mainstreaming MYP into Share-Net’s work.

  • What are best practices of youth-adult partnerships (YAP)?

Filipa Oitavén, independent researcher, is excited to share relevant experiences and best practices from YAP research and to learn from the expertise of participants to spark new YAP partnerships and support existing efforts!

After the three short presentations, we intend to engage in smaller group discussions and finally, there will be ample time to pose questions to our colleagues from CHOICE.
