About this CoP

In the past, Share-Net Netherlands hosted a Community of Practice (CoP) on gender-based violence (GBV) with the objective to share experiences and knowledge on this matter, to learn from each other and to inform and influence research, policy and practice. While the CoP has been inactive in recent years, in the light of the current pandemic two Share-Net members are calling for joint action and would like to invite you to take up this collaboration between Dutch stakeholders (again):

Call for new members

“We, Anne Kwakkenbos and Nieneke van den Akker, working for Cordaid as Expert Gender, Peace & Security and SRHR advisor, are both working extensively on gender based violence. Especially now, during the COVID-19 pandemic, GBV emerges as a critical and dangerous side-effect of the COVID-19 measures being taken throughout the world. GBV is therefore becoming an even more relevant theme.

We believe that the COP on GBV could provide us with the opportunity to share knowledge, innovations, best-practices and also discuss (new) topics on and questions about (sexual) and gender based violence. Moreover, in the future it could lead us to new funding opportunities for research, innovation etc.

Therefore, we hope that you will participate in this COP to go forward together on this thematic area.”
