On Monday 15 June 2020, SRHM hosted a webinar to discuss the new reality of achieving SRHR in universal health coverage (UHC) during COVID-19 and beyond.
In the current political climate, achieving universal health coverage for sexual and reproductive health and rights, particularly in the context of rights, can be challenging. The current COVID-19 pandemic further exposes fault lines pertaining to both UHC and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
To support policy makers and advocates in tackling this gap, a themed issue of Sexual and Reproductive Health Matters was launched in collaboration with the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (PMNCH) and other partners. The issue, Universal Health Coverage: Sexual and Reproductive Rights in Focus, is available online and open-access. Papers will be added to the issue throughout the year.
