Background
Share-Net Netherlands is opening its call for abstracts for the 14th edition of Share-Net’s annualyoung researchers’ conference titled “Linking Research, Policy and Practice (LRPP)’’ which will take place in Amsterdam on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025.
Share-Net Netherlands (part of Share-Net international) is the Dutch knowledge network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).The LRPP is an annual conference that brings together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners who work on advancing SRHR in global health and international development. This conference is a flagship event organised by the Share-Net Netherlands Community of Practice (CoP) for Linking Research, Policy, and Practice. The LRPP offers a platform for young researchers to exchange their insights, spark critical discussions, identify research and policy gaps, and build networks that drive meaningful collaboration and transformative change in SRHR.
The organisations involved in the CoP and in organising the 14th edition of the LRPP includes the University of Amsterdam, The International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam, University of Groningen, KIT Institute, AFEW International and the Kenniscentrum Global Health.
Call for Abstracts
Share-Net Netherlands invites Master students, current PhD students and research interns who have recently finalised (or will finalise by the end of this academic year) their research at a Dutch university, institute or organisation to present their research findings at this conference.
Eligibility Criteria
Are you interested in applying to present at the Linking Research, Policy and Practice event? We ask that you carefully read the following eligibility criteria before applying:
- You are able to be in Amsterdam in November and attend the conference in-person
- You are a current or recently graduated Master student or a current PhD student enrolled with a Dutch university, including Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Saba of Sint Eustatius OR you are a research intern who completed a research project with a Dutch-based NGO.
- Please note, if you have already finalised your PhD then you are not eligible for this call.
- Your research focuses on a SRHR related topic, including issues such as LGBTQIA+ rights; access to abortion and reproductive justice; sexual and reproductive health and rights of asylum seekers or undocumented migrants, and other marginalised populations. The research can focus either on the Dutch and/or international context and we particularly welcome intersectional approaches.

- If you’re unsure if your topic is suitable for the conference, please reach out to us and mention the title and main idea of your research and we will shortly respond to inform you if it is or not suitable for submission! You can email us at info@share-net.nl

Submission Criteria:
- Please fill in your personal details, name of the associated university, institute or organisation , title of research and research/thesis supervisor via this application form.
- Indicate whether you are currently enrolled as a Master student, recent graduate, PhD candidate or a research intern
- The abstract should be submitted in English and structured as follows:
- Title
- Introduction including objectives
- Theoretical framework
- Methodology
- Results
- Conclusion
- Including what do you see as the relevance, link or implications of your research for programme or policy in SRHR.
- The maximum length of the abstract is 300 words, excluding title.
Timeline for the LRPP 2025
- Abstract submission deadline: 22nd of August 2025 at 12.00 noon CEST
- Selected candidates will be notified: the week of the 8th of September, 2025
- The conference is on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025 at the UvA in Amsterdam.
